Our Mission
We are a municipal organization that serves the Towns of Barkhamsted, New Hartford and Winchester by providing a solid waste transfer station and recycling center located in Barkhamsted. Residents of the three towns served have the option of bringing their refuse and recyclables to the center or to hire an outside curbside contractor to pick up their trash. Protection.
Location
Refuse and recycling center is located at 31 New Hartford Road, Barkhamsted, just behind the Barkhamsted Public Works site, off route 44.
Our Core Values
We are a small operation with four (4) full time employees and approximately six (6) part-time plus seasonal staff, as needed.
The goal is always to provide the best in customer service to all residents that use our facility and to act on any and all issues promptly to a satisfactory resolution.
